I was born and raised in Anchorage. It appears that our first family home was about a block away from St. Mark’s original site in City View. (Does anybody remember the Piggly Wiggly store in the same building?) I attended Abbot Loop and Taku elementary schools and went to Hanshew junior high. I came to California for high school but then returned home took my first college courses at Anchorage Community College. As you already know, church ministry will be my 3rd career. My first career, lasting 15 or so years, was in video production. I worked at KTVA and KAKM as well as free-lancing with various film productions around the state. My second career, lasting 10 years and counting, is bookselling. I have worked for The Book Cache, Cook Inlet Book Company, and Barnes and Noble. Alaska is home and the people of Alaska are my kind of people. I am excited to be coming home and learning to serve the people and place I love.
